The Golden State Warriors have lost eight of 10 games since the beginning of March, but they just put a tally in a different sort of win column.

On Saturday afternoon, Warriors PR announced that 12-time All-Star point guard Stephen Curry is making progress in his recovery from “runner’s knee.” The four-time NBA champion and two-time NBA MVP has not played since Jan. 30.

“Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who has missed the last 20 games due to patella-femoral pain syndrome/bone bruising in his right knee, was re-evaluated today,” the Warriors said in their release. “The re-evaluation indicated that Curry continues to make good progress. He has intensified his individual on-court workouts and, as next steps, he will be incorporated into live action and team practices in the coming days. He will be re-evaluated again after the team returns home next week.”

The Warriors also relayed that guard Moses Moody’s sprained right wrist was re-evaluated on Saturday, and he will be re-evaluated again on Tuesday. Moody has been sidelined for nine games.

The Warriors will play at Atlanta on Saturday night and at Dallas on Monday night before returning home to welcome the Brooklyn Nets to the Chase Center on Wednesday, March 25.

Overall, the Warriors have 12 games remaining. At 33-37, the best Golden State can hope for is a ticket to the Western Conference Play-In Tournament. Currently, the Warriors hold the 10th seed, with an 8.5-game lead over New Orleans for the final spot in the Play-In.

Curry was averaging 27.2 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds across 39 games before his injury. Even while missing 20 games, Curry, 38, is still the Warriors’ leading scorer.
