The March Madness action continues Monday, as the NCAA women’s tournament wraps up its second round with three of four No. 1 seeds in action, as UConn, South Carolina and UCLA all take the court Monday.

It’s been a chalky tournament to this point, with just a single double-digit seed remaining in the field. That does mean there are plenty of stars (including some of the WNBA draft’s top prospects) still in the mix in this tournament, from UConn’s Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong to Notre Dame’s Hannah Hildago and South Carolina’s Raven Johnson.

The Mountaineers and Wildcats are in step in Morgantown — though Kentucky was the one to hit a killer buzzer-beater to end the first quarter.

Another foul for the Hawkeyes, and Virginia mounts a nine-point lead. Iowa answers with a Chit Chat Wright 3-pointer, but Kylie Feuerbach fouls out and Virginia goes back to the line.

Some bad decisions here late for Chit Chat Wright. Twice she was unaware of the shot clock, then she fouls a Virginia shooter at the end of their shot clock. That is under review.

A Paris Clark and-1 gives Virginia the advantage so far

The move on Stuelke was upgraded, but Chit Chat Wright only made one of two free throws, and Kymora Johnson answered on the other end yet again. Iowa’s last-chance attempt nearly went in, but alas, we’re going to another overtime.

Mon, March 23, 2026 at 1:14 PM PDT

After seemingly getting pushed on defense, Hannah Stuelke fell to the ground grabbing her neck. She eventually got up and sprinted to grab a rebound on the other end, but now the play is under review.

Virginia takes a four-point lead, but the Hawkeyes storm back on quick layups by Ava Heiden and Hannah Stuelke.

After Hannah Stuelke was fouled by Tabitha Amanze, Stuelke inadvertently elbowed her in the nose, which was reviewed and upgraded to a flagrant. We are still tied with three minutes to play.
