The G League’s OKC Blue had a 133-106 loss to the Iowa Wolves on Thursday. The road defeat dropped their record to 12-23 in the regular season.
Playing their penultimate game, the Blue at least kept things interesting at the start. They were in a 30-29 deficit after the first quarter. Alas, the interest died down after that. OKC only had 23 points in the second frame. The Wolves quickly built up a double-digit lead.
The Blue entered halftime in a 66-52 hole. Pretty bad ending to enter the break. Coming out of it, things were much the same. Iowa was cool with going back and forth. OKC tallied 29 points in the third quarter, but couldn’t eat into its deficit. They left the frame trailing, 97-81.
The fourth quarter became pretty forgettable. The Blue only scored 25 points. They trailed by as many as 29 points. They were thoroughly outplayed by the Wolves. Being behind by double-digit points for most of the night is proof of that.
The Blue shot 51% from the field and went 12-of-34 (35.3%) from 3. They shot 7-of-11 on free throws. They had 28 assists on 41 baskets. Five Blue players scored double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Wolves shot 54% from the field and went 17-of-43 (39.5%) from 3. They shot 7-of-9 on free throws. They had 38 assists on 53 baskets. Seven Wolves players scored double-digit points.
