UC Irvine star Kyle Evans is set to enter the transfer portal, according to Travis Branham of 247Sports. Evans led the country with 3.3 blocks per game, being named the Big West Defensive Player of the Year.

He also made the First-Team All-Big West after averaging 12.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. He started all 35 games for them, shooting 62% from the floor and 78.8% from the free-throw line. He helped lead them to a 23-12 record and a spot in the NIT.

He finished the year with 12 double-doubles, including the final two games of the season. He scored 20 or more points three times, including a career-high 24 points. He recorded at least one block in all 35 games, having a career-high eight against Hawaii.

The Aliso Viejo, California native spent the past two seasons at UC Irvine after spending two years at Colorado State. He played in 38 games last year off the bench, averaging 4.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 11.9 minutes per game.

He played in 20 games during his time at Colorado State, averaging 2.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 6.8 rebounds per game. He was unranked as a transfer when he entered the portal after his 2023-24 season.
