The Memphis Grizzlies are at home on Friday night as they host the Houston Rockets in a Western Conference matchup.

Memphis enters Friday’s game with a 24-48 record after losing at home to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.

In Wednesday’s loss to the Spurs, GG Jackson led the way for the Grizzlies as he recorded 20 points and seven rebounds while Olivier-Maxence Prosper added 17 points and five assists of his own.

Now Memphis will try to bounce back on Friday as they face off against the Rockets in a tough home matchup.

On the other side, Houston enters Friday’s contest with a 43-29 record after losing on the road to the Minnesota Timberwolves in overtime on Wednesday night.

Kevin Durant led the way for the Rockets in Wednesday’s loss as he ended the game with 30 points, three rebounds and eight assists while Alperen Sengun recorded 30 points, six rebounds and three assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Friday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Rockets Injury Report

For the Rockets, they have two players listed on their injury report as they have ruled out both Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams.

Houston has ruled out VanVleet as he continues to recover from a torn ACL that he suffered in the offseason.

The Rockets have also ruled out Adams as he is set to miss the remainder of the season while recovering from ankle surgery.

Grizzlies Injury Report: Will Ty Jerome, Jaylen Wells Play?

On the other side, the Grizzlies have nine players listed on their injury report, including both Ty Jerome and Jaylen Wells.

Memphis has ruled out Jerome due to a left ankle sprain as he will miss his second consecutive contest.

With Jerome still sidelined, Walter Clayton Jr. and Cam Spencer could both continue to have increased roles.

The Grizzlies have also ruled out Jaylen Wells due to right great toe soreness as he will also miss his second straight game.

Ja Morant, Zach Edey, Brandon Clarke, Scotty Pippen Jr., Santi Aldama and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope have also been ruled out as they are all set to miss the remainder of the season.

Jahmai Mashack has been listed as doubtful and he is expected to miss Friday’s game due to a left ankle sprain.
