Dub Nation will have to go at least a few more days without seeing Warriors star Steph Curry on the floor, but it’s unfortunately nothing new, as his injury absence is set to reach 25 games.
Curry, who is dealing with a right knee injury, was re-evaluated Friday and “continues to make good progress,” the Warriors announced, adding that he is expected to begin 5-on-5 scrimmages in the coming days and will be re-evaluated again next week. That puts Curry out at least through Golden State’s game against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday at Ball Arena.
Golden State also provided updates on Seth Curry, Al Horford and Quinten Post — Post and Seth Curry are day-to-day, while Horford will miss at least another week.
The 38-year-old Steph Curry has been sidelined since Jan. 30 with the injury and already had been ruled out for the Warriors’ home game against the Washington Wizards, though ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported Friday, citing sources, that Curry hasn’t “given up hope” on a regular-season return.
Steph Curry has not given up hope on returning late this regular season, per sources. Officially ruled out through the Denver game on Sunday. He’s still trying to get the Rick Celebrini green light to scrimmage in coming days. https://t.co/0qf4dSrW7M

The Warriors could clinch a spot in the NBA play-in tournament Friday with a loss to the Wizards and a Houston Rockets win. With seven season games remaining after Sunday’s tilt with the Nuggets, it remains to be seen if Curry will suit up before then.
