The first half for Michigan basketball was solid offensively, for the most part. And yet, the Wolverines went into the locker room at halftime trailing Alabama by two points. Despite outshooting the Crimson Tide, outrebounding them, not turning the ball over more than them, and having significantly more bench points. The only difference was one more made 3-pointer, and the fact that the Tide had more free throw opportunities, and didn’t miss from the line.
But the second half was a different story.

The Wolverines were the aggressors offensively, draining 3 after 3, while not allowing Alabama to do much from beyond the arc. The maize and blue surged to a 16-point lead and then held on to beat the Tide, 90-77 — sending Alabama home, while Michigan will stay in Chicago for the Elite Eight on Sunday.
Naturally, a lot of media types, internet personalities, former players, and more had things to say about the big win on Friday night. Here are our favorite reactions.
