Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers made it four wins in a row on Friday night with a tightly contested 114-113 victory on the road against the Indiana Pacers.

Darius Garland had one of his best games as a Clipper, going off for 30 points, five assists and six triples. It was Leonard, however, who stole the show with a last-second game-winner to salvage the win for L.A.

Leonard turned in another strong performance, finishing with 28 points on 13-of-26 shooting, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and one three-pointer in 35 minutes of action.

The Clippers improved to 37-36 after this latest victory.

L.A. was down 113-112 with 3.0 seconds remaining in the game. Leonard took the inbound pass from the wing and proceeded to drain a high-arching jumper near the free-throw line to seal the win.

Leonard spoke to reporters after the game to discuss his heroics. The seven-time All-Star took the opportunity to announce an injury that he decided to play through in Friday’s contest.

According to Clippers beat writer Joey Linn, Leonard revealed after the game that he is dealing with a wrist injury. In fact, Leonard considered giving Garland the game-winning shot.

Leonard, however, decided to take it himself. He told the Clippers coaching staff right before the play that “I’m about to shoot that [expletive] as high as I can.”

Leonard has been dealing with an ankle injury of late. He’s been a constant fixture on L.A.’s injury reports, but this is the first mention of his wrist injury.

The good news is that Leonard looked fine against the Pacers. It doesn’t seem like the wrist is bothering him significantly.

The Clippers are back in action on Sunday in another road game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Barring any unforeseen setbacks, Leonard should be a full go for that one.

L.A. remains eighth in the Western Conference after Friday’s win. They are 1.5 games behind the seventh-seeded Phoenix Suns.
