PHOENIX – The Phoenix Suns look to turn recent rut around against the Utah Jazz. The franchise has loss six of the last seven games, playing six high-seeded playoff teams during that stretch. Utah doesn’t fit that mold, losing 16 of its last 19 games. The Jazz are missing most of its top-caliber players due to injuries, focusing on developing young guys during the final stretch of the year.

That has led ESPNBet to put Phoenix as heavy favorites for Saturday’s game, -1600 moneyline, -16.5 spread and an over/under of 231.5. In its last 19 games, Utah has only lost by 16 four times, which is the same amount of single-digit losses during that span.

The two biggest benefactors for the Jazz’s push for younger talent has been fifth overall pick Ace Bailey and wing Brice Sensabaugh. Bailey famously had the pre-draft request to not be drafted by Utah, but GM Danny Ainge did it anyways, which turned out to be a stellar decision recently. The 19-year-old is averaging 19.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.1 steal and 1.2 block on 39.5% from 3 in his 14 games.
Bailey is doing this in under 30 minutes a game and has truly lived up to his potential as of late. The young guard has a heavy reliance on his three-point shots, shooting nearly nine per game during recent stretch. Phoenix will need to force him to drive and attack the basket to take away perimeter shooting.

In his past 16 games, Sensabaugh is a 20-pointe per game scoring on 46% from the field and 37.9% from 3 on 7.8 attempts. The 22-year-old is a scoring machine anyway on the court, recently scoring 20+ points in six of his last seven games. While his defense is lackluster, he more than makes up for his shooting and ability to work off the dribble.
The Suns shouldn’t face any problems on the offensive end, as the Jazz has had the worst defense in the NBA since the All-Star break. Since Feb. 20th, Utah has only held its opponent to under 110 points once and allowed 125+ points nine time, including the last four games.
