Always nice to see Deni — Since the Wizards gave away Deni Avdija for a pretty slim return, he has blossomed under European minded head coach Tiago Splitter, who understood Deni’s ball-handling skills and drive potential better than any of his previous coaches. Always nice to see a former Wizard, and especially one who has become an All-Star. By the way, I did predict that back a few years!

Injuries— It’s true that the Wizards traded a bunch of players and got a bunch of injured players in return. That partly explains their terrible stretch in the past month after the All-Star Break. Portland is also plagued with injuries, but it would still be a huge upset if the Wizards manage to even keep this one competitive for four quarters.
