Suns injury update, starters

Suns coach Jordan Ott said Dillon Brooks (hand) and Mark Williams (foot) played 5-on-5 before Saturday’s game, a huge step for both in returning to the court.

“That was helpful,” Ott said pregame. “See how they react. This was the first time they got to play 5-on-5, up and down. Good start. Everything is headed in the right direction. See how it goes on that road trip.”

Brooks has missed 16 consecutive games while Williams has been sidelined 12 straight games. The Suns have had a losing record during this stretch.

Phoenix is starting Collin Gillespie, Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Royce O’Neale and Oso Ighodaro.
