The Boston Celtics are on the road on Sunday night as they travel to take on the Charlotte Hornets in an Eastern Conference showdown.

Boston enters Sunday’s game with a 49-24 record after defeating the Atlanta Hawks at home on Friday night.

In Friday’s victory over the Hawks, Payton Pritchard led the way for the Celtics as he recorded 36 points, seven rebounds and four assists off the bench while Jayson Tatum added 26 points, 12 rebounds and five assists of his own.

Now Boston will try to grab another victory on Sunday as they face off against the Hornets in a tough road matchup.

On the other side, Charlotte enters Sunday’s contest with a 39-35 record after losing at home to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.

Brandon Miller led the way for the Hornets in Saturday’s loss as he ended the game with 29 points and eight rebounds while LaMelo Ball recorded 20 points, three rebounds and eight assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Sunday night’s matchup, both squads may be without some of their key players due to injuries.

Celtics Injury Report: Will Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown Play?

For the Celtics, they have five players listed on their injury report, including both Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Boston has listed Tatum as questionable due to right Achilles repair injury management and they may elect to sit him on the first night of their back-to-back.

If Tatum is sidelined, Pritchard, Sam Hauser and Baylor Scheierman could all be in line for increased roles.

The Celtics have also listed Brown as questionable due to left Achilles tendinitis and he is in danger of missing his second consecutive contest.

Derrick White has also been listed as questionable due to a right knee contusion while Neemias Queta is questionable with a right thumb sprain.

Nikola Vucevic has been ruled out as he remains sidelined while recovering from surgery to repair a fracture in his right ring finger.

Hornets Injury Report: Will Grant Williams, Tidjane Salaun Play?

On the other side, the Hornets have two players listed on their injury report as they have ruled out both Grant Williams and Tidjane Salaun.

Charlotte has ruled out Williams due to right knee injury management as they will elect to sit him on the second night of their back-to-back.

With Williams sidelined, Ryan Kalkbrenner and Sion James could both be in line for increased roles.

The Hornets have also ruled out Salaun due to a left calf strain that has sidelined him since March 4 and there is still no timetable for his return.
