The Los Angeles Lakers will play without superstar Luka Doncic on Monday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Doncic will serve a one-game suspension from the NBA and lose $264,000 in salary after picking up his 16th technical foul of the season on Saturday while playing the Brooklyn Nets.

“I didn’t even talk. I just wanted to get out of there. They said my push was exaggerated, which [it] was obviously not,” Doncic said to reporters after the game, per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin on X.
Doncic will be eligible to play in the Lakers’ game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday. But he will continue to be at risk of suspension for the remaining seven games of the regular season.

NBA Rescinded Doncic’s 16th Tech From Last Weekend
Doncic almost earned a one-game suspension last weekend when he received a double tech for an altercation with Orlando Magic center Goga Bitadze on March 21.
The NBA ultimately rescinded the double tech, which made Doncic eligible to play in the Lakers’ game against the Detroit Pistons on March 23.
