The Los Angeles Lakers are at home on Monday night as they host the Washington Wizards in an interconference matchup.
Los Angeles enters Monday’s game with a 48-26 record after defeating the Brooklyn Nets at home on Friday night.

In Friday’s victory over the Nets, Luka Doncic led the way for the Lakers as he recorded 41 points, eight rebounds and three assists while Austin Reaves added 26 points, eight rebounds and five assists of his own.
Now Los Angeles will try to grab another victory at home on Monday as they face off against a struggling Wizards team.
On the other side, Washington enters Monday’s contest with a 17-57 record after losing on the road to the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.

Will Riley led the way for the Wizards in Sunday’s loss as he ended the game with 14 points off the bench while Bub Carrington recorded 11 points and four assists.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Monday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.
Wizards Injury Report: Will Trae Young, Alex Sarr Play?
For the Wizards, they have nine players listed on their injury report, though both Alex Sarr and Tre Johnson are not among them.

Of course, both Sarr and Johnson missed Sunday’s loss to the Trail Blazers due to injury management but they are off the injury report and will return on Monday against the Lakers.
Washington has ruled out Trae Young due to back soreness and a quad strain as he will miss his eighth consecutive contest.

The Wizards have also ruled out Kyshawn George and Anthony Davis as they continue to recover from injuries while Cam Whitmore is out for the remainder of the season and D’Angelo Russell remains away from the team.
Bilal Coulibaly (heel), Anthony Gill (ankle) and Leaky Black (hip) have all been listed as questionable for Monday’s game.
Lakers Injury Report: Will Luka Doncic, Marcus Smart Play?
On the other side, the Lakers have three players listed on their injury report, including both Doncic and Marcus Smart.

Los Angeles has ruled out Doncic as he will miss Monday’s game while serving a one-game suspension for picking up his 16th technical foul of the season in Friday’s victory over the Nets.
With Doncic sidelined, the Lakers will likely rely on Reaves and LeBron James to carry the load offensively while Jake LaRavia, Rui Hachimura and Luke Kennard could all have increased roles.

The Lakers have also ruled out Smart due to a right ankle contusion as he will miss his fourth consecutive contest while Adou Thiero is out with left knee soreness.
