In just the first minute of his first appearance after an 18-game absence from a fractured left hand, Brooks was assessed with his 17th technical foul of the season in the Suns’ Monday clash against the Orlando Magic.
A potential 18th technical foul will automatically suspend Brooks for another game.
Brooks has gone chippy along with the Suns against the Magic. The game was intense already after Devin Booker and Desmond Bane also earned respective technical fouls.
The forward already served an initial one-game suspension last February by reaching his 16th technical foul.
Brooks was previously joined by LA Lakers superstar Luka Doncic among players who reached the league’s technical foul limits this season.
With six more games left on their season, another potential absence from Brooks will hinder the Suns’ desire for a solid finish. The veteran is averaging a career-best 20.9 points, 3.7 boards and 1.8 assists per game.
