The official announcement of the inductees is on April 4 during Final Four weekend.
PHOENIX — Suns legend Amar’e Stoudemire has been inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2026, ESPN reports.
Stoudemire joins Doc Rivers, Candace Parker and Elena Delle Donne as those selected, according to ESPN.
The official announcement for the inductees is scheduled for April 4 during Final Four weekend.
12Sports’ Cameron Cox spoke with Stoudemire’s former Suns Head Coach Alvin Gentry about the announcement.
“It is well deserved,” Gentry said. “If you look at the career that he’s had, and what he’s done, and it is not like he has been on losing teams, he has had a lot of success. What Amar’e became is an unbelievable finisher, but when he started consistently shooting his jump shot, then I thought he was pretty much unguardable.”
