The New York Knicks look for a rebound and the season series victory when they travel to take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night. The Knicks are trying to avoid losing four in a row and go up 2-0 in this finale after beating Memphis on Nov. 11 by a 133-120 final at Madison Square Garden. This three-game losing streak comes after New York won seven in a row. It will help the Knicks’ cause that much of the Memphis roster will be out until next season, including Ja Morant and Scotty Pippen Jr. Taylor Hendricks is doubtful for this game with a finger injury and Taj Gibson is day-to-day with a foot injury, listed as questionable. Jalen Brunson went off in the first game between these interconference foes, scoring 32 points and adding 10 assists. Karl-Anthony Towns also played well, scoring 21 points with a team-high 13 rebounds. Santi Aldama led the Grizzlies with 19 points. The Grizzlies have now lost six of their last seven games.

Houston got off to an early lead, outscoring the Knicks 37-21 in the first quarter and it never trailed. Kevin Durant led all scorers with 27 points and all the Rockets starters scored at least 13 points. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Knicks with 22 points and eight rebounds, but the rest of the starters were quieted with Brunson scoring just 12 on 5-of-14 shooting while making just one three-pointer. The Knicks should be able to get back to their ways here tonight.

The Grizzlies are coming off a 131-105 loss against the Phoenix Suns on Monday. This came after Memphis ended a five-game losing streak by beating the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. Memphis could not stop Devin Booker, who scored 36 points on 16 of 24 shooting. It didn’t help the Grizzlies’ cause that Jalen Green scored 21 to help Phoenix win the series 2-1. Tyler Burton led Memphis with 17 points, but the Grizzlies couldn’t overcome 17 Phoenix threes and 50.5 percent shooting for the Suns. The competition only gets more difficult tonight. At least the Grizzlies are home for this finale.
