HOUSTON – The Milwaukee Bucks and Houston Rockets play one another on the second night of back-to-back games on April 1, and each team is coming off a home victory on March 31. The Bucks (30-45) snapped a four-game losing streak to beat Dallas at Fiserv Forum while the Rockets (46-29) beat the New York Knicks at the Toyota Center.
Houston has won three in a row and is neck-and-neck with Minnesota for the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. The Rockets have yet to clinch a playoff berth, but are a comfortable four wins ahead of Phoenix to stay out of the play-in.

Milwaukee, meanwhile, could use a loss to stay within shouting distance of Chicago for the ninth-worst record in the NBA and slightly better draft lottery possibilities.

Bucks to focus on remaining home games
Following the team’s 24-point victory over Dallas on March 31, Bucks head coach Doc Rivers said he’s not sure how much basketball the team’s regular starters will play away from Fiserv Forum through the season finale on April 12.
A veteran player told the Journal Sentinel he’s only playing the final three home games (April 3 vs. Boston, April 5 vs. Memphis and April 10 vs. Brooklyn) after the win over the Mavericks, and on April 1 the team ruled out eight players as they prepped for a game in Houston.

Is Giannis playing?
No.
Despite a statement from the National Basketball Players Association on March 24 and NBA commissioner Adam Silver saying the league would look into Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s injury situation on March 25, there has been no marked change in the way the Bucks are handling their star at the end of the season. By being ruled out for the game against the Rockets, Antetokounmpo will have missed nine games and about two-and-a-half weeks following the hyperextension of his left knee on March 15.
