—– Jrue Holiday scored a game-high 27 points and Deni Avdija added 26 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 118-106 Thursday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
Earlier on Thursday the Rip City Rising ownership group was officially introduced to the City of Portland at a press conference held in the Rose Room at Moda Center. Tom Dundon and his group were received a big treat later in the evening with a Trail Blazers 118-106 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Portland (40-38) trailed by five-points at halftime but caught fire in the third quarter. The Trail Blazers used a 14-0 run to build a nine-point lead and led the rest of the game.
New Orleans (25-52) pulled within three with 4:26 to play following a pair of free throws from Derik Queen but Portland closed the game on a 12-3 run to secure the win.
With the win and the Los Angeles Clippers loss Thursday night to the San Antonio Spurs, the Trail Blazers hold a half-game lead on the Clippers for 8th in the Western Conference play-in standings.
