Toronto had lost two straight before putting the boots to Memphis on the road Friday night. The Raptors entered Saturday 43-34 and stood tied for third in the Atlantic Division, nine games behind the Celtics. Key Injury Report for Celtics:
Center Nikola Vucevic (finger) is out. Raptors vs. Celtics Prediction
Toronto is in a fight to avoid the play-in tournament but need a little help since the 76ers own the tiebreaker. The Raptors being without Quickley is a blow as he is an effective scoring option and secondary ball handler. Toronto has dropped all three meetings with Boston this year and that was when Tatum was sidelined. Boston has gone 11-2 since Tatum returned March 6 and piled up 280 points in the last two games. The Celtics are 26-11 at home this season. Toronto has dropped nine of the last 10 meetings between the teams. With the way Boston is playing right now, look for them to take care of business at home.
Our Prediction: Celtics -10.5 (DraftKings, -108)
Raptors vs. Celtics Same Game Parlay Celtics -10.5 (-108) Jayson Tatum (Celtics) Over 9.5 Rebounds (-115) Scottie Barnes (Raptors) Over 8.5 Assists (+118)
Odds: +685
We talked about the success Boston has had since the return of Tatum. Boston has also owned Toronto of late with nine wins in the last 10 meetings. Speaking of Tatum, he has gone over his rebounding prop in eight of his last 10 games. Seven of those games saw Tatum pull down double-digit boards. On a similar wavelength, Barnes had handed out double-digit dimes in six straight games before handing out six in the win over Memphis as he logged just over 23 minutes of action in the game. Unless Boston blows the doors off, both Tatum and Barnes will see enough action to cash their respective props.
