Tyrese Haliburton personally announced on X that he finally made his first 5-on-5 basketball play since sustaining his brutal Achilles tear injury in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals.

In the wake of this brutal and forgettable season, the Indiana Pacers have suddenly obtained major news regarding Tyrese Haliburton.

On X (formerly Twitter), Haliburton himself personally announced that he finally played 5-on-5 basketball for the first time since tearing his Achilles in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals.

“Played 5 on 5 today for first time since June,” Haliburton wrote in his post with a prayer emoji.

Haliburton went down with a devastating torn right Achilles tendon in the winner-take-all Game 7 of last year’s Finals, which completely altered the Pacers’ momentum as the OKC Thunder went on to clinch the championship.

Although this season is basically over already for the Pacers, in which they will end up one of the worst teams in the NBA with an 18-61 record, Haliburton’s own injury update will still be an instrumental step for the franchise’s preparations for a payback campaign next year.

Haliburton is projected to be fully healthy and available to play for Indiana to begin the 2026-27 NBA season.
