The Los Angeles Lakers have introduced a second row of courtside seats for the 2026 NBA playoffs, but they aren’t cheap.

According to Edward Lewis of the California Post, the tickets for the second-row courtside seats will cost 78 percent of what typical courtside seats cost. Courtside seats for playoff games usually fall between $20,000 and $40,000, meaning the new seats could cost between $15,000 and $30,000 each.

The new courtside seats won’t have quite as good a view as the first row of seats, but they’ll still have the same premium chairs as well as access to the VIP club. It also gives fans more options since the Lakers’ floor seats have been sold out for the last 50 years.

The Lakers obviously hope that the new seats will be filled well into June, but a recent stretch of injuries has put Los Angeles’ postseason hopes in doubt. Star guard Luka Dončić is dealing with a hamstring injury that has him out for the rest of the regular season and possibly longer, while Austin Reaves is dealing with an oblique injury and will miss four-to-six weeks.
