Cyclones forward Milan Momcilovic announces NBA Draft plans, transfer portal move

What’s up guys? I’m here with Milan Mamillovic. You are the most productive 3 point shooter in the country. You’re shooting upwards of 50%. So I thought, why not ask him to show us how he shoots the 3 in his style. So we’re going to play 3 point pig here. Are you ready? I’m ready. All right, you can pick your spot first. All right, first spot, we’ll just go top of the key, OK, straight on. I like this spot. Oh, right after lift, yikes, no excuses here. Uh uh. What is your favorite shot? I would probably say the corners are the easiest for me. Uh, they’re *** little closer, but I think I just, I shoot well from there. OK, good to know. Good to know. Not gonna shoot from the corner yet. Oh, not bad, not bad. Alright, we’re running back. Top of the key again, top of the key, you got it. Make this there we go. There we go, OK, so describe your shooting style for me. Bring it up here so it’s kind of higher, um, and then I kind of have good form where kind of how they teach you right here and then flick of the wrist and. I hope it goes in all right. Mm, that was not, that was not what we were hoping for. Alright, that’s *** P. That’s *** P. Have you always been *** good 3 point shooter? It was always something I shot, but it wasn’t like the main thing in my game in high school, um, but when I got to college, all the guys were faster and athletic, so I had to become, that’s my specialty, of course, yeah. All right. Oh, save *** letter. was not on the line either. OK, I guess it’s me. Yeah, yeah, you guys are. Alright, that was sweet. I like how you just snuck it in there. What’s going through your mind right before you take *** shot? I would say more what’s going through my mind is how can I get open, how can I get as many 3 point attempts as I can, um, because teams are obviously the scouting reporters take away the 3, so teams are doing *** good job of staying close to me, saying don’t let Milan get any 3s up. But then Milan gets some 3. Oh, PI now PI we’ll bring it back from me, hopefully first try. That’s brutal. Ah, short. Thank gosh, that would have been mean. Do you have *** phrase or word that you say before I shoot? Uh, I do say. I try to say jelly bean jelly bean, uh-huh. It’s something my sports psychologist gave me, uh, just something so you don’t think about the shot. I don’t say it all the time because I’m thinking about other things on the court, but he said try to say it at least, so it’s in my mind I guess. Do you like jelly beans or why not gummy bear? I don’t know, it’s just um let me see. I eat some jelly beans. I like candy. I love candy. What’s your favorite candy? I like Swedish fish. Really? OK. Mm, maybe get *** letter here. I think it’s about time. No. OK, you did just become the single season record holder for 3 pointers. What was that moment like for you? Uh, I actually forgot about it during the game. I knew what I was at, but in the moment of the game I forgot about it. Just really cool obviously to uh break the record now in year 3. I think it’s kind of been building up for *** while now, and, uh, I think it’s all credit to my teammates, coaches just believing in me. To have your teammates trust you, be able to feed you the ball like that. What’s that feel like? It’s just. It’s *** really cool connection I guess between our teammates. I think I’ve been playing with Tam and the longest 3 years, and then playing with Joshua and Heisey, I think it’s shown this year that it really matters that we’ve played together for *** couple of years now. What’s your favorite shot besides the 3? Probably gotta go *** fadeaway in the mid range. I like. Dang, heating up. heating up. Prob you’ll give me *** letter here. Oh. Oh, man. That was not good. Ah, it’s off. I know you just missed that one, but what does it feel like to see the ball go through the net in game? Uh, it just gives you *** lot of confidence for real. Um, anytime you see it go through, it’s, it’s like you’re gonna hit the next one automatically. So, uh, really cool to see it go through the net, especially at Hilton. Slightly off. Got you. That was just not good. I like pushed that. I’ll go same spot. Same spot you were try to end it. Oh, OK, boom. Jelly bean. Dang it, I think I’m using gummy bear. I think I’m. Thank you, great game. Uh-huh. Uh
