The six-foot-six shooting guard hails from Rockwall, TX and plays at DME Academy in Daytona Beach, FL. Hampton will play two seasons there before heading off to college. He already holds offers from several Power Four programs.
Rivals lists SMU as the favorite to land Hampton’s commitment, along with Nebraska as favorites. He was linked to NC State before Wade’s move to LSU. He’ll continue to be a priority of the Tigers‘ staff as they look to load up on highly ranked players.
