During the To the Baha podcast, Villanueva stated that Giannis will be a part of the Orlando Magic next season, while in return the Bucks will receive Orlando’s All-Star forward.
“You know I’m involved in the Milwaukee Bucks situation, I’m involved with organization somehow, someway. You know where he’s going? Orlando Magic. Remember I said that. Giannis is going to the Orlando Magic. Paolo (Banchero), have a good night,” Villanueva stated.
According to earlier reports, the Magic are among the teams that are keeping an eye on Giannis for a potential blockbuster deal.
Antetokounmpo has two more years left on his max contract, with 2027-28 being a player option. He will be extension-eligible by October 1st.
Giannis has been the subject of countless trade rumors all season. But amid interest from several teams, he ultimately remained in Milwaukee past the trade deadline.
The expectation currently is that Giannis might have played his last game with the Bucks after an injury- and drama-filled season.
In 36 games this season, he is averaging 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists. He is also shooting 62.4 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three.
