Dillon Brooks couldn’t ask for a more perfect opponent for their potential entry to the 2026 NBA Playoffs than Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Steve Kerr and the Warriors.

All fans await the final game of this year’s NBA Play-In Tournament between the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns, with the season on the line and the final ticket to the Western Conference playoff picture at stake.

Golden State Warriors / Schedule

The Suns find themselves in a do-or-die situation after losing against the Portland Trail Blazers for the seventh spot of the West and will face the Warriors who were coming off a dramatic finish in LA to beat the Clippers on the other side of the Play-In bracket.

As such, Dillon Brooks couldn’t be more amped up to face the Dubs for the win-or-go-home game, and his reasoning is pretty much straightforward.

“Steph and Draymond,” Brooks said after the Suns’ Thursday practice. “And Steve Kerr.”

Ever since he was with the Memphis Grizzlies, Brooks already had a longstanding basketball animosity with the Warriors.

Last year, Brooks saw himself enduring a painful elimination at the hands of Curry and Golden State, as he and the Houston Rockets were beaten in seven games of the first round of the postseason.

This time around, heading to Friday’s win-or-go-home game, Brooks is certainly carrying an extra motivation to be the one responsible for ending the Dubs’ season by drawing a desperate payback.
