The 2025 NBA draft is less than a month away. Which means it’s that time of the year when prospects visit teams across the league to improve their stock.
The Oklahoma City Thunder enter the 2025 NBA draft with three draft picks. They own the No. 15 pick (via Heat), No. 24 pick (via Clippers) and the No. 44 pick (via Hawks).
The two first-round selections are interesting. The Thunder already have one of the deepest rosters and are a championship contender right now. Adding on several rookies might be impossible. But that’s all a pure assumption. Maybe OKC falls in love with a prospect in that range.
One possibility in that first-round range is Michigan’s Danny Wolf. He was spotted in OKC at a local supermarket on Sunday. Considering he has zero ties to the city and draft prospects have begun to meet with teams, it’s pretty obvious why he was in town.
Wolf played in three college seasons from 2022-25. He played his first two seasons at Yale before transferring to Michigan last year.
Wolf averaged 13.2 points on 49.7% shooting, 9.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists. He also had 1.4 blocks. He shot 33.6% from 3 on 3.1 attempts and was a 59.4% free-throw shooter. The 21-year-old is a 7-foot, 250-pound center.
The Thunder would likely need to add Wolf with the No. 15 pick. He could be a nice depth piece that can eventually replace Jaylin Williams or Isaiah Hartenstein as the backup center. He could rise up or down on draft boards before the 2025 NBA draft starts on June 25-26.
