The 2026 NBA draft will be held June 23-24 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The NBA draft lottery will be held May 10 and the draft combine is scheduled for May 10-17 in Chicago, Illinois.

Tennessee freshman forward Nate Ament is listed as the No. 8 best available player for the NBA draft, according to ESPN. AJ Dybantsa (BYU), Darryn Peterson (Kansas), Cameron Boozer (Duke), Caleb Wilson (North Carolina), Keaton Wagler (Illinois), Darius Acuff Jr. (Arkansas) and Kingston Flemings (Houston) are ranked ahead of Ament for best available players.

The 6-foot-10, 207-pound freshman is also listed as the No. 4 best available forward behind Dybantsa, Boozer and Wilson.

Ament appeared in 35 games, including 35 starts, for the Vols during the 2025-26 season. He averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

Ament’s career high for points in a game at Tennessee was 29 against Oklahoma on Feb. 18. He also recorded career highs for rebounds (11) versus Vanderbilt on March 13 and assists (five) against Mississippi State on Feb. 11.
