Giannis Antetokounmpo’s message sparks speculation
In a post shared on his X handle, Antetokounmpo reflected on the season.
“Year 13 [tickmark emoji]. This has been one of the toughest seasons of my career, but as they say, like a phoenix from the ashes, I’ll rise,” the Bucks star wrote.
He added, “To the city of Milwaukee, MY city, thank you for the unwavering love and support.”

While the message reads like a standard offseason reflection, the “phoenix” reference immediately stood out, especially given the growing questions around his future with the Bucks.
Milwaukee’s playoff absence and roster concerns have already placed pressure on the franchise to retool, making any hint, intentional or not, far more significant.
