BOSTON — The Boston Celtics fell to the Philadelphia 76ers 111-97 in Tuesday night’s Game 2 at TD Garden, evening the first-round series at 1-1.

Philadelphia shot 19-of-39 from 3-point range after making only four 3s in all of Game 1. VJ Edgecombe (30 points) and Tyrese Maxey (29 points) led the way in the Sixers’ victory.

Jaylen Brown scored a game-high 36 points in a losing effort for Boston. Jayson Tatum came one assist shy of a triple-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds, and nine assists.

Game 3 in Philly is set for Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
