Facing the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, the Rockets have officially ruled out Durant due to his left ankle sprain, via Shams Charania of ESPN.
Durant has been listed as questionable ahead of Game 3 after sustaining his new injury.Â
After missing Game 1 with a right knee bone bruise, Durant suited up and dropped 23 points, six rebounds and four assists in Houston’s 101-94 Game 2 loss.
With Durant missing a game again, the Rockets are facing more pressure ahead of the must-win Game 3 at home.
They trail 2-0 after losing the first two games of the series in Los Angeles.
