Stage is set for the NBA Finals! The Oklahoma City Thunder will be up against the Indiana Pacers for one last time in the NBA 2024-25 season. A lot is at stake as both teams fought their way through to the 82-game long regular season and the playoffs spanning over three series. Both teams are just four wins away from clinching the coveted Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy. 

The Thunder became the first NBA 2025 Finalists after they defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 4-1 in the Western Conference Finals. After ending the regular season with a historic record, the Thunder swept the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. Later, they defeated the Denver Nuggets in the Conference Semifinals to make it to the Conference Finals. 

On the other hand, the fourth-seeded Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in the opening round of the playoffs and booked a Conference Semifinals date against the Cleveland Cavaliers. In an unexpected turn of events, the Pacers pulled off a 4-1 upset over the table-toppers and made it to the Conference Finals against the New York Knicks, and defeated them 4-2 to advance ahead. 

This marks the first NBA Finals appearance for the Thunder in 12 years, and for the Pacers in 25 years. As both teams gear up for the ultimate battle of the season, let’s see how their playoff record looks like.
