The Oklahoma City Thunder will face the Denver Nuggets in Round 2 of the 2025 NBA playoffs. After waiting a week, the first seed finally learned their opponent after the Nuggets blew out the Clippers in a 120-101 Game 7 win on Saturday.
The Nuggets had an all-around team effort. Six Denver players scored double-digit points. All five of their starters plus Russell Westbrook. Nikola Jokic underwhelmed with 16 points, but it didn’t matter as the rest of the team stepped up.

Meanwhile, the Thunder have rested for over a week. They swept the Memphis Grizzlies in their Round 1 series and earned some extra time off between their playoff series.
The top storyline for this second-round matchup is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jokic. Both were the top two MVP candidates all season, as it looks like Gilgeous-Alexander will run away with the prestigious award.
The Thunder will host the Nuggets for Game 1 on Monday, May 5. Both teams split their regular-season series at two wins apiece.
