After crushing the San Antonio Spurs 93-66 in their NBA Summer League opener, the Hawks took care of business against the Brooklyn Nets, continuing their undefeated start, beating them 83-76. The Hawks trailed by five at the half (46-41) before cranking up their defense and running away with the win. Kobe Johnson came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 17, adding seven rebounds and five assists.
Boston got their NBA Summer League started with a tight victory, knocking off the Toronto Raptors 83-80 in overtime after rookie Chris Cenac Jr. knocked down a 3-pointer at the regulation buzzer. The Celtics followed that win up with another, this time taking out the Charlotte Hornets 87-75, as Dillon Mitchell was the star, scoring 24 points to go with eight rebounds, six steals, and two blocks.
