CUBA CITY, Wis. — Legendary Cuba City Jerry Petitgoue passed away at the age of 84, his son Mark confirmed in a social media post on Saturday.
Petitgoue spent 60 years coaching Wisconsin basketball, including an illustrious tenue at Cuba City that began in 1971.
He is the winningest coach in Wisconsin basketball history, retiring after the 2023 season with a record of 1,027-270.
Cuba City won 29 conference championships during Petitgoue’s tenure.
