Phoenix Suns center Oso Ighodaro agreed to a three-year, $29 million extension on the eve of the season, ESPN reported Sunday night.

Ighodaro’s extension begins with the 2028-29 season. He will make 2.3 million this season and $2.5 million in 2027-28 as part of a team option pick-up.

Ighodaro, 24, played in all 82 games last season, starting 24 times, and averaged 6.5 points and 5.1 rebounds. The 6-foot-11 Ighodaro shot 65.3% from the field.

In two NBA seasons, Ighodaro has shot 63.7% from the field while averaging 5.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 143 games (30 starts).

After playing four college seasons at Marquette, Ighodaro was a second-round pick by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2024 draft and subsequently traded to Phoenix in a draft-night deal.

The Suns open the season against the Trail Blazers on Wednesday night in Portland.
