The Philadelphia 76ers are apparently looking to offload their No. 3 pick in what is said to be a loaded 2025 NBA Draft.<\/p>\n

Why, you ask?<\/p>\n

Because they have their sights set on something better.<\/p>\n

Sources inform Michael Scott of HoopsHype that Philadelphia has been in talks with the San Antonio Spurs as they look to move up in the draft and poach the No. 2 pick from San Antonio.<\/p>\n

Per Scotto, Philadelphia has narrowed down its options with the No. 3 pick to three players. Scotto observes that the 76ers have already held a workout with Baylor Bears guard VJ Edgecombe, and will have Rutgers wing Ace Bailey in next week.<\/p>\n

But if Philadelphia is after the No. 2 pick, that means the team is looking to select Bailey’s teammate, guard Dylan Harper.<\/p>\n

While hyper-athletic Duke Blue Devils power forward Cooper Flagg is seen as the no-brainer top pick in this month’s draft, Harper is similarly considered to be far and away the second-best option, ahead of players like Bailey, Edgecombe, and Texas guard Tre Johnson.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-6 prospect is considered to be a brilliant offensive mind and an elite downhill shot creator and distributor, who can get buckets all over the floor while efficiently controlling the ball (he had a solid 2.42 assist-to-turnover ratio in college).<\/p>\n

In 29 healthy bouts last year, the All-Big Ten honoree averaged 19.4 points on .484\/.33\/.750 shooting splits.<\/p>\n

As a defender, Harper has the size, athleticism, strength and length (he boasts a 6-foot-10 wingspan) to a wide variety of perimeter players.<\/p>\n
