There are no shortage of NBA rumors regarding the future of Giannis Antetokounmpo with the Milwaukee Bucks. Yet, the latest news regarding Antetokounmpo appears to indicate the superstar intends to remain with Milwaukee.<\/p>\n

If things change, the Bucks would be wise to have a contingency plan in case the team does need to trade Antetokounmpo. ESPN’s Zach Kram<\/a> floated a wild four-team trade proposal that involves the Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks.<\/p>\n

The simplest part of the trade proposal has the Warriors landing Antetokounmpo. Milwaukee secures a sizable package in return with Austin Reaves, Brandin Podziemski, Jonathan Kuminga (sign-and-trade), Trayce Jackson-Davis, Maxi Kleber, two first-round picks (2029, 2031) and a 2030 first-round pick swap option with the Lakers.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles acquires veteran star Draymond Green, finally pairing the big man with LeBron James along with Daniel Gafford. The Mavericks land Gabe Vincent, a 2031 first rounder (via Lakers) and a 2025 second rounder.<\/p>\n

Antetokounmpo is on a three-year, $175 million contract <\/a>that is slated to run through the 2027-28 NBA season. There has been mounting pressure on the Bucks given the lack of recent postseason success combined with Damian Lillard’s uncertain future as the guard recovers from an Achilles injury.<\/p>\n

“The Warriors would sacrifice depth to construct a star-studded big three of Curry, Antetokounmpo and Butler,” Kram wrote on Wednesday. “The Lakers would balance their roster by turning Reaves into Green — who has been involved in Lakers rumors in the past — and Gafford, improving their defense and adding a rim-running center who’s a proven fit with Luka Doncic.<\/p>\n

“The Mavericks would trade from a position of strength (center) to add a future first and point guard help during Kyrie Irving’s absence. And the Bucks would grab an assortment of promising young players and future picks in return for their star.”<\/p>\n
