Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro made waves\u2014not for his on-court performance, but for his controversial take on the past<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old NBA star expressed deep skepticism about the authenticity of historical events, saying outright that he \u201cdoesn\u2019t believe in history,\u201d a statement that sparked widespread reaction across social media and sports circles alike.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on a Twitch livestream with Adin Ross and N3on, the Miami Heat guard cast doubt on the validity of historical events such as the moon landing in 1969<\/a> and Christopher Columbus\u2019 discovery of America.<\/p>\n

The conversation took a surprising turn when a viewer asked Herro whether he thought legendary center Wilt Chamberlain would rank among the NBA\u2019s top five players if he were competing in today\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

Herro responded, \u201cI don\u2019t even know what Wilt looked like, played like,\u201d before reluctantly conceding that he does believe Chamberlain scored 100 points<\/a> in a single NBA game back in March 1962\u2014a historic feat that has long been considered one of the league\u2019s most iconic milestones.<\/p>\n

But Herro\u2019s doubts go far beyond basketball history. \u201cNah, I don\u2019t believe in that. I don\u2019t believe in anything that happened before 1950,\u201d he declared when asked about the legitimacy of the 1969 moon landing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t believe in history,\u201d Herro said at one point, doubling down on his skepticism by stating emphatically that he is \u201cdeada**\u201d about his stance.<\/p>\n

However, he would go on to reveal that he doesn\u2019t believe in many historical events that occurred prior to the 1950s, and even some after, remaining steadfast in his purview.<\/p>\n

\u201cHell no,\u201d he replied when asked if he believes the recording of events that happened hundreds of years ago actually occurred, adding that he believes the 1969 moon landing was a farce.<\/a><\/p>\n

When the topic shifted to Christopher Columbus<\/a>, Herro again questioned what many accept as fact. \u201cFor real, like, how do we know? When did he come to the land or whatever?\u201d Herro asked. \u201cThey said 1492?\u201d<\/p>\n

His disbelief was echoed by N3on, who responded, \u201cThere\u2019s no way of really knowing,\u201d in partial support of Herro\u2019s viewpoint.<\/p>\n
