After 15 seasons with Fran McCaffery at the helm, the keys to the program have been turned over to <a href=\"https:\/\/hawkeyesports.com\/sports\/mbball\/roster\/season\/2025-26\/staff\/ben-mccollum\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ben McCollum<\/a>. One of the hottest coaching names in the sport, McCollum has made a name for himself at Northwest Missouri State and Drake. Now, he\u2019ll try to carry that momentum over to Iowa, where the Hawkeyes have not been to the Sweet Sixteen since 1999.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday afternoon, members of the media were able to get a glimpse at the new look Hawkeyes. That includes a brand-new coaching staff and an almost entirely new roster, led by Drake transfer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/bennett-stirtz-246747\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bennett Stirtz<\/a>.
