{"id":116098,"date":"2025-06-22T09:39:19","date_gmt":"2025-06-22T09:39:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/116098\/"},"modified":"2025-06-22T09:39:19","modified_gmt":"2025-06-22T09:39:19","slug":"heat-among-several-teams-interested-in-cody-martin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/116098\/","title":{"rendered":"Heat Among &#8216;Several&#8217; Teams Interested In Cody Martin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the wider trade talks involving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/duranke01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-06-21_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kevin Durant<\/a>, \u201cseveral\u201d NBA teams have expressed interest in Suns wing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/martico01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-06-21_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Cody Martin<\/a>, league sources tell Jake Fischer and Marc Stein of The Stein Line (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/marcstein.substack.com\/p\/all-the-nbas-latest-trade-talk-draft?publication_id=392205\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Substack link<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-434476\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Cody-Martin-vert-202x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"202\" height=\"300\"  \/>Although the report states multiple teams are intrigued by the possibility of adding Martin, only one is actually listed \u2014 the Heat, who are \u201cknown to hold an affinity\u201d for the veteran guard\/forward.<\/p>\n<p>As the authors point out, Martin\u2019s identical twin brother <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/martica02.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-06-21_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Caleb Martin<\/a> had a productive three-year run with Miami.<\/p>\n<p>Cody Martin, whose $8.68MM salary for 2025\/26 is <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2025\/05\/early-nba-salary-guarantee-dates-for-2025-26.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">non-guaranteed until June 30<\/a>, was <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2025\/02\/hornets-to-acquire-jusuf-nurkic-from-suns-in-three-player-deal.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">acquired<\/a> by Phoenix in February ahead of the trade deadline.
