\u2014 Jack Leiter has come a long way this season<\/a>, but his inability to finish hitters suggests he\u2019s not confident in his considerable stuff. Meanwhile, Kumar Rocker is still trying to remember to cover first and keep a track meet from developing around him. The Vandy Boys\u2019 learning curve continues.<\/p>\n

\u2014 All parties mercifully survived a blustery, blistering week of women\u2019s PGA Championship at PGA Frisco, won by Irving\u2019s Minjee Lee<\/a>. Next on the front burner: LIV Golf Dallas at Maridoe<\/a>, where highs of 98 degrees are projected for both Saturday and Sunday. We should have learned it was too hot to play golf here in the summer after the PGA Championship at the DAC in 1963, when Jack Nicklaus used a towel as a potholder to pick up the trophy.<\/p>\n
