Kevin Durant is on the move again. The Houston Rockets have traded for the eighth-leading scorer in NBA history, sending Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green and picks to Phoenix, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n
Durant will be 37 years old at the start of next season, but he remains one of the best and most efficient scorers in the league.<\/p>\n

1. Durant is eighth on the all-time scoring list<\/a> at 30,571 career points in the regular season. His 27.2 points per game rank fourth<\/a> all-time among players who\u2019ve played at least 500 career games.<\/p>\n 2. He\u2019s the only player<\/a> in the 52 years for which steals and blocks have been counted to have played at least 500 games and averaged at least 25 points, one steal and one block per game.<\/p>\n 3. Among the 52 players with at least 20,000 career points, he ranks second (behind Stephen Curry) in true shooting percentage (62%). He\u2019s the only one of those 52 players to have shot at least 50% from the field and at least 37% from 3-point range.<\/p>\n 4. Durant has had 13 seasons (including five straight since his Achilles tear in 2019) where he\u2019s averaged 25 points or more in at least 35 games with a true shooting percentage of at least 60%. He\u2019s done it each of the last four years.<\/p>\n 6. In total, Durant has shot 52.1% from mid-range over his last 10 seasons, up from 41.9% through his first seven years in the league.<\/p>\n 7. This season, he attempted 1.3 times as many 3-pointers than mid-range shots. That was the highest rate of his career by a healthy margin. It was just the sixth time in his 17 seasons and the first time since 2020-21 that he had more attempts from 3-point range than from mid-range.<\/p>\n More from the corners, less in the post and at the rim, less with the ball<\/p>\n 8. Durant\u2019s 44 corner 3-pointers in 2024-25 were 12 more than he\u2019s made any other season and more than he had attempted in any of his first 15 seasons.
