The Chicago Sky are in the midst of another disappointing losing slump. They have lost three straight games in the past week and own the third-worst record in the entire league with a 3-10 standing.<\/p>\n

Despite her team’s poor play, Angel Reese has continued to be a force for the Sky. The former LSU star has logged two double-doubles in the last three contests, including a monster 10-point, 19-rebound effort in Sunday’s 93-80 loss to the Atlanta Dream.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday against the Washington Mystics, Reese tied her season high in scoring with 17 points, along with 10 rebounds and five assists. It was her strong play on the offensive end, though, that was recognized by the Sky on social media.<\/p>\n

Two of Reese’s power moves from the Mystics game have been recognized in Chicago’s top Plays of the Week.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Sitting at the No. 5 spot on the list is Reese driving her way to the basket against Mystics center Stefanie Dolson. Reese exploded against her defender to finish a contested lay-up.<\/p>\n

Her power move against Aliyah Edwards in the same game was even better. The 6-foot-3 forward used her strength to force her way to the hoop. Reese absorbed the contact to score an and-1 deuce, which prompted a hyped celebration from the Sky star. Her effort was enough to earn her the No. 1 spot on the Plays of the Week.<\/p>\n

The Sky will need more of the same\u2014if not more\u2014from Reese if they want to break out of their current losing streak. Their next opportunity to do so would be on Tuesday in a home game against the 4-10 Los Angeles Sparks.<\/p>\n

In 13 appearances this season, Reese has averaged\u00a010.8 points<\/a>, 11.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.7 steals in 29.8 minutes per contest.<\/p>\n
