Smith then sprayed her with a self-defense spray and assaulted her, Turner said.<\/p>\n
Turner said she tried to pepper-spray the driver back but was unable to stop the attack, which continued outside the car with Turner unable to see. Both women were hurt.<\/p>\n
Another driver witnessed the dispute and pulled over to call police.<\/p>\n
The Hapeville Police Department took statements from the witness, Turner and Smith and filed an incident report.<\/p>\n
The driver, according to Turner and her attorney, posted misleading TikTok videos about the incident, which led to Turner being threatened on social media.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople questioning my character because of what she\u2019s saying.. I just wanted to go home after work and see my daughter,\u201d Turner said.<\/p>\n
Police said their investigation determined that Smith was the aggressor.<\/p>\n
Smith now has a warrant out for her arrest on battery and simple battery charges, both misdemeanors.<\/p>\n
Smith said Turner was the aggressor and refused to get out of the car.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m being punished and I\u2019m the one that has to go to the hospital. I have to look at these marks on my body every day. And I have to relive this over and over and over again,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Smith said she has to turn herself in to Hapeville Police soon.<\/p>\n
