An NBA<\/a> prospect has gone viral for his reaction to being drafted by the Toronto Raptors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Collin Murray-Boyles, a forward for the University of South Carolina, was caught on camera shaking his head and saying, \u201cF***!\u201d after NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced him as the Raptors\u2019 pick.<\/p>\n

Murray-Boyles was the ninth pick in the first round of Wednesday\u2019s draft.<\/p>\n

After throwing out the f-bomb, Murray-Boyles was seen hugging his family and girlfriend Chloe Kitts, a Junior at the University of South Carolina who plays as a forward on the women\u2019s basketball team.<\/p>\n

In response to his expletive, Murray-Boyles said, per The Athletic<\/a>, \u201cWhat I said was not a bad thing by any means. I\u2019m just very thankful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was a surreal moment to hear my name called, by this organization that has a good history and has really good players right now. It was a crazy moment,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

People took to social media to share their reactions to Murray-Boyles\u2019 f-bomb.<\/p>\n

\u201cClearly my guy didn\u2019t want to go to Canada<\/a>,\u201d one X user wrote.<\/p>\n

Another said: \u201cNot the reaction you want!\u201d<\/p>\n

A third said that Murray-Boyles \u201cdefinitely did not want to go to the Raptors.\u201d<\/p>\n

Others just laughed it off, writing, \u201cLMAO.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Raptors even joined in on the fun, posting<\/a> a photo of Murray-Boyles smiling at the draft and captioning it, \u201cSee guys, he\u2019s happy!!\u201d<\/p>\n

CBS Sports Writer Robby Kalland wrote<\/a> in a story published late Wednesday night, \u201cThis appeared to be a clear situation where the stress of the moment left Murray-Boyles as soon as he heard his name called.\u201d<\/p>\n

Murray-Boyles quickly rose to the top at the University of South Carolina, becoming an All-SEC Freshman. He averaged 16.8 points per game in the 2024-2025 season.<\/p>\n
