Mavericks No. 1 pick F Cooper Flag brought a \u201csorely needed business boost\u201d to the Mavericks franchise still \u201creeling from one of the most controversial trades<\/a> in league history,\u201d according to Lovinger & Fine of BLOOMBERG NEWS. Mavericks CEO Rick Welts said, \u201cAlmost 2,000 fans bought $125 Flagg jerseys from pop-up jersey printers in the arena and online.\u201d Welts said the team has \u201cnow more than made up for the lost sponsors\u201d and renewed \u201cbetween 75% and 80% of season tickets<\/a>, in large part thanks to Flagg.\u201d He said the Mavericks \u201csold about\u201d $8M in new season tickets in the three days after the draft lottery, confirming a Front Office Sports report. The Dallas women\u2019s team, the Wings, also had the No. 1 pick in this year\u2019s WNBA draft and used it to add G Paige Bueckers<\/a>.
