Miami Heat<\/a> reporter Trish Christakis has revealed her new nickname after going viral late last month.<\/p>\n

Christakis, who works for CBS Miami, garnered over 11.2million impressions with an X post on April 29<\/a>, after the Heat’s season concluded.<\/p>\n

‘Year 3! What a season for the Miami Heat, thankful,’ she captioned a photo of her in a skintight brown dress.<\/p>\n

And while the post from the Greek-American reporter spread in the United States, it even made its way to Europe.<\/p>\n

‘So apparently TV stations in Greece are calling me Greek freak 2.0 might be the funniest thing to come out of this,’ she wrote on May 1.<\/p>\n

Of course, the Milwaukee Bucks<\/a>‘ Nigerian-Greek star Giannis Antetokounmpo<\/a> is known as the ‘Greek Freak’ himself.<\/p>\n

Reporter\u00a0Trish Christakis went viral late last month after the end of the Heat’s season<\/p>\n

Christakis said she had been dubbed ‘Greek Freak 2.0’ in Greece after her picture spread<\/p>\n

‘Just to clarify\u2026 this was 100% a nod to Giannis Antetokounmpo that’s it lol,’ Christakis followed up her original post.<\/p>\n

Christakis’ viral post, which has also been liked 120k times, received a slew of responses from fans.<\/p>\n

‘just became a Miami Heat fan,’ one said.<\/p>\n

‘now my friends know why i’m so upset the heat szn is over,’ a second added.<\/p>\n

‘sheesh, respectfully,’ a third added.<\/p>\n

Christakis, believed to be 31 years old, has covered a variety of pro sports working in South Florida, including the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, NHL’s Florida Panthers and MLS’ Inter Miami.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Christakis has covered a variety of Florida teams, including the Heat, Panthers and Dolphins<\/p>\n

According to her LinkedIn, she graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2015 with a degree in broadcast journalism, setting herself up for current on-air role.<\/p>\n

However, she also has a background playing soccer herself, and revealed in 2023 that covering Lionel Messi play for Miami had been a massive highlight.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Playing football my whole life and becoming a professional has always been my biggest dream,’ she wrote on Instagram<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘But getting paid to cover the GOAT’s career is more than I could have imagined.’<\/p>\n
