Lyons currently attends Grace Brethren Christian School in Clinton, Maryland and plays for the DMV-based New World AAU on the 3Stripes Select Basketball (3SSB) adidas circuit. He holds offers from Florida State, Mississippi State, Syracuse and Villanova.<\/p>\n

Notably, Lyons received a scholarship offer from Georgetown last October when current Indiana assistant Kenny Johnson was on staff for the Hoyas. That offer was likely due to his status as a local prospect as much as anything, but this is the kind of recruitment where Johnson\u2019s connections to the DMV area could pay dividends.<\/p>\n
Indiana rather obviously isn\u2019t the only program in on Lyons, but the earlier the better on prospects. Getting a foot in the door with an early offer and relationship building is the kind of move that could matter down the line in this recruitment.<\/p>\n
