NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The Pelicans will be getting plenty of frequent flier miles this preseason.<\/p>\n
They have four games on the preseason schedule, and two of them take place in Australia against two National Basketball League teams.<\/p>\n
Preseason play gets underway on October 3 and wraps up on October 16<\/p>\n
With head coach Willie Green leading such a young roster, these games will be extremely important when it comes to getting them up to speed, in a hurry.<\/p>\n
\u201cTraining camp and preseason are about developing chemistry,\u201d said color analyst Antonio Daniels. \u201cYou can do a lot of things individually and find out a lot about yourself, but collectively, because of how deep the Western Conference is, you want to hit the ground running.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for that Pels schedule, those two games in Australia will tip off preseason play.<\/p>\n
They will take on Melbourne United on October 3, and on the next night, they\u2019ll face Southeast Melbourne Phoenix.<\/p>\n
They return to the States to face the Rockets in Birmingham on October 14th. <\/p>\n
